Mountaineer Log Cabin - 2 miles to ASU

Wonderful, pup friendly, cabin in the “woods” Positive: Wonderful location, it felt a bit remote but was minutes from everything! Negative: No yard for my dogs to play in. The decks were also not available for the dogs without close supervision as there was no gate on either. They enjoy a good sunning. :) The road does provide a good place to walk and the neighbor did allow me to walk my dogs on his private drive so that helped tremendously.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning for another visit! The cabin was clean and well-appointed with linens, towels, spices, and kitchen utensils. It’s centrally located in the heart of Boone, yet tucked away on a quiet, secluded road. The host responded timely and provided everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

This is a very good place--it's definitely in town, but not situated along any of the annoyingly high-traffic roads (like Main Street or Blowing Rock Rd.). The lot is nice and woodsy, the house has one bedroom per floor, so there's a good sense of privacy, and the hosts even had it decorated for Christmas, so we had a lovely tree in addition to a cozy fireplace. Highly recommend
